Blender Knife Tool – Linux Hint

The knife is used to separate each mesh surface by applying lines. In other words, the knife tool is a simulation tool for forming new loops and vertices. The tool for the knives is quite simple. To select the knife tool, you must activate the edit mode.

There are several methods to access the knife tool:

Using the Quick Tools Menu

The Knife tool can be accessed via the Quick Tools menu. In edit mode, you can see a whole range of tools. Select one of the methods to activate the edit mode. Select the grid and click on the Workspace Simulation tab or press the Tab key. Another way to enter edit mode is to simply go to the object’s interaction field and select the edit mode from the drop-down menu. The selected grid is highlighted in edit mode.

Search the menu on the left side of the window for the Knife tool; if you can’t find it, press the T key. The cursor will turn into a small scalpel. Click the button to make an incision, or hold the scalpel over the edge or tip of the grid to make an incision.

You will notice that the purple line is still attached to the cursor, even after the cuts. To turn it off, simply press E. This method allows you to continue cutting.

If you want to undo all hinges and cuts made, just right-click or press the Esc key.

To confirm all cuts, press the Enter key. The purple lines correspond to parts of the grid. This allows you to establish that the cut has been made and applied.

There is another bearing tool in the cutting tool, the so-called biscuit cutter. With this tool the wire is cut in half.

To select this tool and the knife, you must be in the modelling workshop. Click on the knife tool icon, the basket icon appears, point the cursor at the icon and release it as shown in the following figure.

Now make an incision, this thing will look normal. The most important is the control panel for the bisection tools. This panel has some important settings.

The top of the plane: position along, in the x, y and z axes.

The plane is in good condition: Rotation in relation to the standard

Filling, cleaning inside, cleaning outside: If you check the Fill box, you can fill in the front of the cutout. The two sides of the cut are clean inside and out. Use these checkboxes to save both sides of the cut.

Use shortcut keys

Shortcut keys play a very important role in 3D modeling. He’s increasing the speed. No need to waste time by switching to edit mode and then selecting a tool from the Quick Tools menu.

To access the Knife tool, first go to the workspace of the simulation or editing mode. To quickly enter edit mode, press the Tab key and then the K key to activate the cutting tool. For the bisector tool, hold a pair of Shift+space 2.

Other shortcut keys have the following function.

Press and hold the Ctrl key to fix the center point. The knife clicks in the middle of the edge.

To add a 45 degree limit, press and hold button C while making the cuts.

Press E to start a new cut.

If you think it is difficult to find a particular tool, press F3, the search bar appears, type the tool name and simply select it when it appears.

The knife is one of the most important tools in the mixer, with which you can cut and distribute the grid manually. Select the knife tools from the Quick Tools menu or press the K button in edit mode. Do your bills. To redraw the neckline, press the Esc key or just click the right mouse button. To confirm the cut-off, press the Enter key.

The biscuit tool is a lower tool than the knife tool. Press and hold the cutting tool icon and the Bisect tool icon will appear. With the biscuit cutter the fillet is cut in two halves. Each half can be selected via the control panel. The key combination for accessing the bisect tool is Shift+Space 2. To find tools quickly, press the F3 key and enter the knife.
